NATURE

WAYS is an international, academic, and non-profit organization voluntarily formed by international or regional youth scientific organizations, higher education institutions, and research institutions.

MISSION

WAYS are to establish a platform for global young scientists to exchange ideas and learn from each other, to build consensus on the positive role of science and technology, and to promote sustainable development through scientific and technological innovation, and to contribute the wisdom and power of young scientists to the achievement of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals and to the building of a community with a shared future for mankind.

SCOPE OF ACTIVITIES

WAYS' scope of activities will include but is not restricted to the following:

(1)To organize activities such as the World Young Scientist Summit and exchange visits among international young scientists, and establish a platform for communication and cooperation among young scientists worldwide;

(2)To support young scientists in their exploration and research in scientific and technological innovation for sustainable development;

(3)To conduct promotional and popularization activities related to scientific and technological innovation for sustainable development;

(4)To facilitate exchange activities with scientific and technological organizations domestically and internationally;

(5)To engage in other business activities that promote exchange and cooperation among young scientists.

INITIAL MEMBERS

The Association was jointly founded by 4 organizations: CAST Center for Professional Training and Services, Wenzhou Growth Foundation for World Young Scientists, Venture Cup Denmark, and Young Earth Scientists Network. Its initial members are composed of 46 units including universities, research institutes, and enterprise alliances, covering 23 countries in Asia, Europe, America, and Africa. The disciplinary fields cover physics, chemistry, medicine, geospatial, ecological environment and other disciplines.
